This Halloween, Film Tampa Bay Presents Goes Grindhouse.
Tampa, FL (September 26, 2025) – Film Tampa Bay Presents is back with a grindhouse horror double feature just in time for spooky season. As part of Tampa Theatre’s annual A Nightmare on Franklin Street series, Film Tampa Bay will host a back-to-back showing of House of Blood and Sorority of the Damned on Friday, October 3, 2025. The evening will kick off with House of Blood at 6:00 pm, followed by the newly released Sorority of the Damned at 9:15 pm.
Each film will be followed by a post-show panel discussion and audience Q&A. The doors open at 5:30 pm for House of Blood and 8:45 pm for Sorority of the Damned. The first 75 patrons to enter each screening will receive free popcorn and soda, courtesy of Film Tampa Bay. Admission is free, but registration is required at https://tampatheatre.org/
This double feature is an 18+ event. House of Blood and Sorority of the Damned are intended for mature audiences and are not suitable for children.
House of Blood – 6:00 pm
In Sarasota, Florida, a masked madman is on the loose—snatching women to feed his vile cravings. The city trembles as two hard-boiled detectives dive headfirst into his blood-soaked underworld, putting their necks on the line to stop the slaughter. Starring Peter Hooten, Marvel’s original Doctor Strange.
The screening will be followed by a live panel discussion with director John Rusnak; actress Jade Lorraine; and co-producer / editor (and uncredited actor who plays the masked killer) Chris Colgate.
Sorority of the Damned – 9:15 pm
Trevor Harmony is an inept handyman who discovers his family’s lineage is far more than he suspected. Now he must step into action and save four unsuspecting sorority girls from being consumed by pure evil and stop them from destroying the world.
The screening will be followed by a live panel discussion with writer/director/actor Joe Davison (Stranger Things, 100 Tears).
