Fear of Rain (2021)
Do you like your horror flicks … psychological? Fear of Rain, directed by Castille Landon, is the perfect pick for you.
The film follows Rain, a 17-year-old girl living with schizophrenia. After a series of terrifying hallucinations, she begins to suspect her neighbor has kidnapped a child. The only person who believes her is Caleb – a boy she isn’t even sure exists.
Sharp-eyed viewers will spot iconic Tampa Bay locations throughout the film, from Hyde Park Village to the Florida Aquarium. But that’s not the only thing that gives Fear of Rain local flavor. The Beast Comes at Midnight (2023)

When Tuff, an outcast teenage live streamer, discovers a werewolf in his small rural town, he must enlist the help of four popular kids before one of them gets tracked down. Plant City, Florida, is a character in itself, playing the role of Gibtown, the rural town tormented by a bloodthirsty werewolf. Death Cast (2022)
Are Slashers your vibe? Death Cast, directed by Bobby Marinelli, will slice and dice your nerves to pieces.
Six young and hopeful actors land roles in an experimental horror film that is shooting in a remote location. Filmed in the style of a fictional reality-TV show, the viewer follows the actors behind the scenes of their terror as the characters unknowingly trade their lives to star in an actual slasher. Ghost Brothers (2021)

Our favorite episode is Season 2 Episode 6: Midnight Movie Show. The Ghost Brothers cross the velvet rope to the other side at the historic Tampa Theatre. Tampa Theatre’s own Jill Witecki takes the Ghost Brothers on a terrifying journey through Tampa’s most haunted theater. The Tampa Theatre is so ghostly that a member of the trio, Dalen Spratt, came back on his own to continue his investigation of the theatre’s haunted halls. Watch Ghost Brothers on HBO Max. The Wild Man: Skunk Ape (2021)
